The Sportster kit is 100% bolt-on with no welding required. Cuts to the stock fender supports are required, but easily accomplished with a Dremel tool or angle grinder. Version 1 is made of fiberglass, with a gloss black gel coat finish. Version 2 is vacuum formed from ABS plastic. Painting is optional on the Version 1 fiberglass seat, but you will definitely want to paint Version 2. The LED tail light included with the kit works nicely with both styles. Do I need to send you any parts off the bike like the other Ryca kits? No, the Sportster kit is complete out of the box. Why can't I order my kit with the parts already painted? 1. The paint is easily damaged in shipping.  2. You'll want to do some test fitting of your unpainted kit parts before final assembly. It's much easier without worrying about scratching new paint.  3. You can have your parts painted locally for a better price than we could paint them for you.  4. Having your paint done locally allows you to see the actual color in person, color match your parts correctly, and have a custom paint job done to your specs.
