Works how it's supposed to. Did not have my carbs jetted as I am running on the original exhaust pipes and it runs well. this air filter helped the performance of my vt1100 shadow spirit This filter works as described. Just don't forget to stick the provided rubber lid to the top of your filter case! Mine came with some of the rubber that the filter was made of inside the filter laying loose. They were big enough pieces that I do not think they would have got sucked in. Nothing particularly great about this replacement filter. Looks pretty typical, fits as it should. No surprises, which I guess is a good thing! Bought this for a 2008 Yamaha R6S. The product advertised is just for the spongy part of the air filter, but not the entire mount assembly. The filter itself seemed the same quality as the OEM. The hard part about the instillation is removing the old spongy piece because it is riveted between the top and bottom plastic piece. Once I drilled out the rivets instillation was easy, took out the old sponge, oiled the new one as the package said, and stuck it where it should go.

The only thing I was worried about was I didn't have a way to hold the filter between the 2 plastic pieces, luckily I looked at the top of the airbox and there are a few pegs that seem to prevent the top piece of plastic from getting bumped around once installed. Overall I haven't had any problems and would buy this filter again vs paying about 60-70$ for an entire assembly when all you need is spongy filter part. (Sioux Falls , SD) Ordered this for my 2005 v-star 1100. I'm at least the 2nd owner and don't know if previous owner had installed the same filter. It looked exactly the same and fit perfect. Same fast shipping as in the past.I would recommend to anyone. This filter fit my 2007 Honda VTX 1300s very well, and the quality seems fine. I will buy it again next year. 2005 Yamaha FZ6 - Not Recommended This product has a thinner edge stripping than the original Yamaha filter and fits loosely into the airbox rails. This will allow dirt and particulate blow-by.

I would not recommend this filter for a Yamaha FZ6. Kudos to The Motorcycle Superstore for fair pricing and fast shipping, though. Everything was great, fit perfectly in my V-Star!!!!! Bought this for my 1982 CM450, and it was a perfect replacement. Fast shipping and competitive price. Air filter was an exact factory replacement of good quality. Just took old one out and put new one in and done. Emgo Replacement Air Filter I have used Emgo filters for years successfully. This fit my VTX 1800c perfectly. Good filters at great prices. I'll buy another one in 30K miles It appears to be the same as the OEM for my 01 FZ1, but at half the price including shipping. Nice fit- Good quality The air filters for my 2001 Kawaski Vulcan 750 fit very well. There is a need for a quality fit around the wire mesh air cover. The quality of the foam is very good and the shipping from the company was good. The only way this could have been any better, is if they had come and installed it too.
