Very expensive as filters go It doesn't remove the fine asthma causing dust. I have run it on high for 2 months. It hardly makes a difference. I purchased for my wife (significant allergy problems in the DC area) and we put it in her office. It has made a SIGNIFICANT difference in her ability to breathe well and... We got this machine to replace our old one, and it is performing very well for filtering dust and smoke in our living room. Works great, but not as quiet as claimed Works well but gives a skunk smell when it's running..... My wife's allergist said this is the only type of air purifier they recommend.
