They do not have a restaurant so I ordered from the lobby for lunch once and quite late another day some food from a neighbourhood Thai restaurant. Wonderful and to my greatest suppriseit took only 15 minutes and the food was there to a nice price. Exelent bar in the lobby area and the breakfast very good. I could seen that I missed anything. This hotel is great value for money! cool new hotel without being too cool! Be aware of the smoky bar next to the lobby though. The neighbourhood is really cool, you can easily walk to good shopping areas. Next to the hotel is also the cool restaurant Transit. Loads of cool small cafés and bars around - don't worry about finding good food - it's everywhere!! Room Tip: Don't worry about noise from the road, but ask for queen or king bed - not the stupid twin beds. The Amano put a card in my room asking me to write a review, so here it goes!I stayed in this hotel a couple years ago when it was brand new, and was quite happy. The rates were very reasonable, the staff friendly, breakfast was included, I got a nice room on a high floor, all was great. So when I had to come back to Berlin I went straight to the site, and, even though rates had gone up almost 50%, booked a room.What a difference a couple of years makes. The hotel staff on check-in were less than accommodating, and the room I had was no where near as nice as before, the furniture chipped, and the bathroom not properly cleaned.

Breakfast was no longer included, and not at all worth it for the price, especially when you could just go a couple doors down and get so much more for your money.The bar, which was a typical empty hotel bar before, was now a refuge for sad, aging Germans who clearly could not afford to live in a nice town, but wanted to pretend they could...A sad decaying hotel, in a sad, decaying town, filled with sad decaying people. The Circus Hotel, just across the street and the same price, is rated the #1 hotel in Berlin on this site, and while I have never stayed there I enjoyed a nice dinner there...that is where I will take my business next time. We just spent 3 nights in the hotel Amano. The hotel was very clean and the staff were very helpfull and friendly. I mentioned that I have a birthday during our stay so in my birthday they had put a Amano bag and a disposable camera on my bed waiting for me.Our room was comfy, a bit small for two and luggage,though. The room we had was faced to the garden and there was a building whitch was under construction but this did not disturb us.

We did not have a breakfast in hotel, there were many nice bakeries and cafes near the hotel.The location of the hotel is very good. Many places are in walking distance. The only negative point for me as asthmatic was the smoking in the Amano bar. I did not never go to the Amano bar because of the strong smell of cigarette. The smell came from the bar to the lobby bar, too. We sat in the lobby bar (where smoking was not allowed) and all my clothes still smelled strongly of cigarette. Without this negative point our trip in Berlin was perfect again. Great location (you can walk to many attractions, and nearest u-bahn is 180m away), very friendly and cooperative staff, vast breakfast buffet, free wifi (and fast one too), shick rooms and sound-proof windows (!!!!). I'm so enjoying here As soon as you take a step into the lobby, you just know that you're somewhere different. Obviously in the back of your head there is a clear knowledge that you're in Berlin but this place is just a little bit more.

The front desk handles your every need in a swift and professional matter with the most beautiful smiles on their faces. You can see that there is joy and pride in what they do. Fresh and light yoghurts and fruits for those on the healthier side of things. Bacon and scrambled eggs for me who thinks that life is too short.The catering staff too, are absolutely amazing.The ambience is a bit at the hotel exudes relaxation and anonimity for those who seek it. I'm glad I chose this place and will do so again and again. Room Tip: Every room has it's charm. This was a fabulous base for a few days in Berlin. The staff were so friendly and always on hand to help. The rooms were clean and modern. The breakfasts were delicious and I would definitely stay again. We ventured up to the roof terrace which I imagine is incredible in summer and we also hired bikes through the hotel and cycled around Berlin.
