Not really effective for a room. Great little air purifier. I use it in the kitchen after cooking fish/sauerkraut/greasy foods/etc. Clears the air quickly! Expected way more than this delivered. It moves, cleans, filters terribly. Made my asthma, throat, and lungs worse!!!Very quiet and the nightlight is actually helpful. The room it is in is about 10 by 20 and it handles the load just fine. This is great for a smaller space; you can smell the fresh air and the filter is metal and truly permanent, you remove, wipe off, replace.
This is second purchase. Skeptic no longer, this air filter is the real deal (and well priced). This filter is relitively small, quiet and doesnt look like plastic garbage. It works great, if you're in a Small room. But not designed for a large room with heavy smokers... Works like a dream!|A product to get rid of diaper pail stink!!!No kitty litter stink!| I bought this for my guest bathroom, where one of my litter boxes sits (sorry for it being so messy). I have to say this does a great job. My litter box is NOT clean in this video (don't worry, I cleaned it right after) but there is not a smell of litter at all. I'm honestly very surprised at how well it eliminates the smell. I'm going to buy another one to go next to my other litter box. I'm not sure how well it works on a larger room but for my small bathroom it's amazing. The air filter should be checked at least once a month to see if cleaning is necessary. Be sure to unplug the unit before cleaning to prevent shock or fire hazards. To clean the filter, open the front panel and remove. The air filter is reusable and may be cleaned using liquid dishwashing detergent and warm water. After cleaning allow the filter to thoroughly dry before replacing. You may also vacuum the air filter to remove excess dirt and particles. Can my room air conditioner be covered while in use to prevent outdoor debris from getting inside vents?
Proper air flow into the air conditioner is essential for performance and safe operation. Under no circumstances should you block or cover any exterior or interior vents of the unit. How does the power cord work on my air conditioner? When should I test the plug? For your safety all Frigidaire air conditioners feature a 3-prong grounding plug and current leakage detection device. These enhanced plugs help to detect damages to the power cord and can be tested following a few simple steps. 1. Press the reset button 2. Plug the cord into the power outlet 3. Press the test button, the reset button should pop up 4. Press reset button for use 5. Do not use room air conditioner if above test fails. For more information please consult your use and care manual. What is the additional vent located under my air louvers? On select models, you may notice a small tab identified with Open / Fresh Air / Closed. This fresh air vent allows the air conditioner to: 1. Recirculate inside air - Vent Closed 2.
Draw fresh air into the room - Fresh Air  3.  Expel indoor air outside - Vent Open. Note: When in the cool mode fresh air venting or exhaust venting will affect cooling and decrease performance. I have noticed water dripping outside of my room air conditioner, is this normal? Water dripping outside is a normal function of the room air conditioner, especially during periods of excessive humidity. If condensation need to be directed, window air conditioners have a key hole drain in the bottom of the unit where one could connect a ½” drain hose for safe disposal of excess system water.  Part: EA150D / 5304481680. Never drill holes into the bottom of the room air conditioner to remove water. If water is dripping inside the room during the cooling, this is due to improper installation. Please refer to installation instructions or check with your local installer. I have noticed that my ENERGY STAR air conditioner is frequently in Econ mode? For all new ENERGY STAR products the EPA has regulated that all ENERGY STAR air conditioners must be factory set to Energy Saver (Econ) mode.
If you turn the room air conditioner off in cool mode, and restart the unit it will default back into Energy Saver mode. You may select out of Energy Saver mode by selecting the mode button, however we recommend using the feature to help save energy. What is Econ mode? Econ mode, or Energy Saver mode, is a setting that works similar to central AC. The room air conditioner will turn off once the set temp is reached; the fan then cycles on (for 20 sec.) every 10 min to sample the air temp. If the room temp is above the set temp, the compressor will turn back on. Since the room air conditioner is not running at all times, this setting will help save energy while ensuring the room temperature stays at the set temperature. What is a BTU? It is a professional term rating an air conditioner. BTU stands for British Thermal Unit - the quantity of heat required to raise the temperature of one pound of water one degrees Fahrenheit. The higher the BTU the larger space the room air conditioner will cool.
What size window unit do I need? The size of the window unit needed will depend on the size of the room you wish to cool. To determine which size you need, measure the width of the room by the length and multiply those numbers together to determine the square footage. What happens if I lose power? After a power outage, the unit will memorize the last setting and return the unit to the same setting once power is restored. What does Sleep Mode mean? When this mode is enabled, the selected temperature will increase by 2 °F 30 minutes after the mode is selected.  The temperature will then increase by another 2 °F after an additional 30 minutes.  This new temperature will be maintained for 7 hours before returning to the originally selected temperature.  This ends the “Sleep” mode and the unit will continue to operate as originally programmed.  You may also cancel sleep mode at any time by again pressing the sleep button. Why is my room air conditioner making noise?
Room Air Conditioners, during operation, may make noise.  It is normal to hear ‘high pitch chatter’ a sound of rushing air, gurgle/hiss, pinging or swishing and vibration.  These are all normal.  For more definition of noises, please refer to your product’s Use and Care guide. How do I store my room air conditioner for winter storage? If you plan to store the air conditioner during the winter, remove it carefully from the window according to the installation instructions.  Cover it with plastic or return it to its original carton.  NOTE:   To prevent rust or electrical connections from being damaged, store air conditioner in an upright position and a dry place. Why is my Filter Reset light on? This feature is a reminder to clean the Air Filter (refer to Care and Cleaning section of the Use and Care Guide) for more efficient operation.  The LED light will illuminate after 250 hours of operation. After cleaning the filter, plug the unit back into the power source and reset the filter by pressing the ‘Filter Reset’ button and the light will go off.
