The additional cost is work the fresh air. We usually get 2, then forget to replenish our stock until it is time to replace it again. Our only issue is that the 14x24x1 size seems to be sold out on the days we are ready to buy them.

The filters are a little difficult to find and a little pricey but dollars to cubic air, it is far worth it. I plan to have one in every frequently used room. I started with the less expense ones and have over the years upgraded to the highest efficent filters I am always amazed at how dirty they are at the end of 3 months. I usually buy 3 at a clip. They are well worth the money. The results are outstanding and I feel safer. These filters works great. I have several dogs and a cat. They go in and out all day through a doggy door. This, of course, brings the back yard in everytime they come in the door. This filter and air purifier works wonders. I would highly recommend this purifier and filters for anyone that is a multi-pet family. The room purifiers work as expected, they remove more "stuff" from the air then you would want to know is in the air. We have two dogs and one of the household members has asthma and our mother is allergic to dogs, so having this filter is very helpful in our every day lives.
