I have this in a finished room in the basement where we keep our guinea pigs. For the price, it's OK. I was on a strict budget when I purchased this item, and it fit my budget. However the air flow out the side all but prevents the unit from pulling dust... This is my fourth purifier! These are quiet, efficient, and clear a room of smells in just a few hours! Wash your cat's litter pan with soap and water at least once a week to help eliminate long-term odors that may develop in the box.
