Preserved jungle-type deciduous and deciduous-conifer forests as well as conifer forests, especially subalpine spruce forests, make botanically significant areas on Golija. 45 bird species belonging to the group of natural rarities have been registered on Golija so far. Cultural and historical values of Golija are characterised by the presence and numerous traces of cultural and historical heritage on the whole area.
