What it DOES do is reactivate indoor air by creating active ingredients that give the air the ability to clean itself, just like outdoor air does. Those active ingredients create chemical reactions and break down contaminants. Depending on the area and the situation, those reactions can give off different odors as the air works to clean itself. Some of those reactions will include oxygen being converted to a faint amount of ozone. However, this is waaaaaaay less than the amount that naturally occurs outside —about 1/1000th in fact! Here’s the cool thing… any smell you might notice right away is a sign the machine is doing what it is supposed to be doing — improving your air quality by breaking down particles that cause odors. So how long will it last? Well, it really depends on what the air quality was like before you plugged in the CritterZone. If your home/office/car is like most people’s, you probably have lots and lots of smells and unwanted particles floating around.

But as the air gets cleaner, those reactions slow down. One option, if it bothers you, is to switch the machine to low and let it work more gradually. Posted by kaylea on 5th Nov 2014 First I would like to say how skeptical I was about this product from the minute I bought it, to the minute I actually had it in my hands.

The size is unbelievably small and compact, but incredibly amazing! I cannot speak enough good things about this small unique device! I plugged it in.... As a patient individual (cough) I obviously expected immediate results and didn't receive them... So I patiently continued to wait... One day went by... Two days went by... And by the third day I was completely blown away with the air that I was breathing! It literally took my breath away to smell such fresh air all around me! Now to put the situation in perspective... I live in my parents house with a pretty decent size room that contains myself, three huskies, and a couple of their baby accidents. All trapped in there that have had pretty much every product made sprayed and used on the spots! Did I mention my nose is fantastic with smells, and even if anyone else couldn't smell my dogs piddle spots... They stuck around for me to smell everyday! So even though it took until about the third day, I would say that it had to tackle quite a huge musk of smells and it smells of fresh air now, and I couldn't be more pleased with a product like I am with the CritterZone.

I was keeping them extra clean but it still smelled. I tried critterzoneusa and within a few hours the smell was gone! I love it, wish I had it years ago! Posted by Unknown on 9th Oct 2014 I recently bought a pre-owned car. The previous owner had dogs that must have lived in the car. Even with cleaning I could not get the smell out of the car. Because of my allergies I did not want to use any chemicals. But when I use the CritterZone at least I can drive the car without having an allergy attack. I am still working on this issue with the dealer but until they 'cure' the problem, CritterZone is doing the trick. There is a kind of weird smell when you turn it on; but to be honest, I like the smell, it is kind of earthy-like. I also have to admit that I run it in my husband's closet when he's not home. We were renovating some areas of our house and one area was where our kitten's litter box was. So we had to move it in to an area that we use a lot until the work was complete. Our kitten has the worst smelling poo of any cat I have ever had. My poor husband could not go in or near that room despite air fresheners, constant cleaning of the litter box etc. Then I saw an ad for the CritterZone, bought one. You would never know where the litter was. It eliminated the odor completely and quickly. I cannot thank you enough for this invention. I wish I had bought one years ago. The one piece of hard-earned experience I would give anyone buying this is that you absolutely HAVE to follow the instructions about cleaning it internally. I burned out my original unit by not doing the internal cleaning.
