I want to do this so bad, but I don't want to have to wipe oil off the engine after long rides. I wish someone made a backing plate for that filter, like madchemist was saying. I was wondering as well about maybe drilling a hole in one side of the PVC cap and threading in a 1/4 x 1/2" barbed fitting.

Then getting one of those breather kits from ebay/ vendor. Here's the breather Kit. I suppose Its set up so you can run a hose down to a filter. I was thinking about running the hose to a barbed fitting on the side of the PVC Cap. This is the barbed fitting I'm talking about. This is a 3" PVC drain cap found in the plumbing section of Home Depot or even Menards or Lowes ... costs run between $1.50-$3. I found mine at Home Depot. How did the slight arch work on the back of this cap. I was sure so that's why i went with the black drain pipe from Lowe's. It also allowed me to cut a 2 1/4" hole to.
