I was surprised because we have high, vaulted sealings and open our windows daily during the day. We also have 2 dogs so dander has been an issue despite hardwood floors throughout.I can whole heatedly recommend this product.Condition: Pre-ownedby good performace but noisythe air flow from the machine is very comfortable. But it is too noisy. It works well on cleaning air. As a air cleaner ,it is a good choice.Condition: Newby Best consumer purifier on the marketHands down the best purifier you can buy.

It's s bit large, but worth it for sure.Condition: Newby Great Unit. Expensive but you get your money's worth. So if you are looking at this IQAir HealthPro system, you already know this is by far the best air quality unit you can buy.

iqair healthpro plus air purifier couponI have asthma and allergies, and my house is moldy.
drive clean kanata edgewaterMy health really was suffering from all of these factors. I knew I needed something to address the dust mites and all the other stuff in the air. I have security cameras in my house, and when I checked the DVR I saw these little fibrous matter floating in the air. That was it for me. I decided to go all out and bought an IQAir HealthPro Plus. It's a little like throwing an anvil at a mosquito.

But wow, what a difference. My breathing is much better (not perfect but better), I am clearing my throat a lot less. The air is noticeably cleaner. Currently I run the unit around 1-3 (Speeds up to 6), because the faster the speed is, the louder the unit is. It has a timer so you can run it at a lower speed when you are not home or it can shut it off entirely and turn it on when you want during the day. It has three different filters and the readout tells you how long before the filters need to be replaced. Each filer has it's own duration. This IQAir is Swiss made, so there is quality built in.Only negative is the fast fan speeds. After speed three, it gets a little loud. But, its relative to what you need... if you are an allergy sufferer and nothing else has worked... The faster speed might trade off how much better you feel. This is the real deal in air purifiers. This is the answer! After buying product after product, I'm happy to report I've finally found the solution! Prior to the IQ Air, I've bought the following products to try and remove cigarette smoke from my home:Whirlpool Whispure Air Purifier, HEPA Air Cleaner, AP51030KHoneywell 50250-S 99.97% Pure HEPA Round Air PurifierWinix PlasmaWave 5300 Air Cleaner Modeland a 4th product which isn't on Amazon, the most expensive, a Dynamic CT500.

It was advertised as being effective in Cigar Aficionado. It was just under $1000. I also bought Dynamic's Electrostatic Furnace Filter, which uses the exact same filter as the CT500. They do a fair job of removing dust, but I didn't see a huge improvement in smoke smell. The Whirpool, Honeywell and Winix do a fine job of removing particulates from the air, but they don't do much for smoke. A week before buying the IQair GC Multigas I also purchased the following on Amazon:Blueair 503 HepaSilent Air-Purification SystemBlueair 603 HepaSilent Air-Purification SystemBlueair Smokestop Filter for Blueair 500/600 Series Air Purifiers, Set of 3The Bluair's were a disappointment. Once I was able to look at the product, I fail to see why it costs $700. It consists of nothing more than a metal frame and a fan that pushes air through a basic hepa filter. It looks like it would be a very easy thing to manufacturer, and probably costs them nothing with the exception of the fan itself. The filters that the Blueair come with are just basic HEPA filters, they don't have any carbon, so they won't do anything for smoke smell.

I decided to buy the Smokestop filters for them. The problem is, the Blueair machines aren't powerful enough to push air through the Smokestop filters. I called Bluair and they told me airflow is reduced by 30% with Smokestop filters installed, but it seemed to me like it was more around 50%. Air was literally just trickling out. I decided they weren't worth the money and returned them and ordered the IQAir GC MultiGas.The IQAir GC Multigas arrived via a shipping courier called Home Direct. Don't do what I did and google "Home Direct" or you may have a panic attack with all the negative reviews around the web for their service. I imagine not too many people get online to report their items arrived on time, or 2 days early (like mine did), but plenty of people will hop on to report a problem. I was wondering why UPS or FedEx wasn't used, but once I saw the shipping box I knew why. The Amazon page says the shipping weight is 26lbs, it's not, its actually 60lbs. The box is gigantic, but the actual IQAir is: 30x15x15" with the casters on.

From the moment I opened the box I knew this puppy was the ticket! The HEPA filter is actually the IQAir's pre-filter. The Bluair's didn't even have a pre-filter. After the air goes through the HEPA it's sent in to 4 canisters that are packed with charcoal, something that's very important if your goal is to eliminate the smell of smoke. The entire thing is modular, and there are all sorts of cool add-ons you can get for it, such as being able to exhaust the air into a cold air return duct, or the ability to draw air into the IQAir through a heat/ac vent in your home. You could with the device create a smoking room in your house, and have all the air that leaves that room filtered through the IQAir first. I also bought the very overpriced (but very much needed) VMF, or Vertical Mount Fixture. This allows you to mount the IQAir on the wall. Why is this important? The IQair draws air in from the bottom. Smoke rises, it takes quite some time before it hits floor level. If your a smoker, you need your IQAir mounted as high as possible so it draws smoke in quickly.
