Not only does it eliminate 99.9% of the bacteria going into my air through the mist, but it is so fine it almost appears initially like a light fog evaporating into my room. No messes to worry about, easy to fill, and can also be multi-functional used as a fan by itself. I simply point it at my bed pillow and sleep nice, cool, and refreshed through the night. After I bought my new vacumm I decide to give this humidifier a try. And I loved it for the first 3days. It works unlike the other humidifiers, it actually spread the mist in a wider range, which really helps. And it was very easy to start. However, after 2days, the machine stop producing mist after a while. So I have to turn it off and turn it back on in order to make it pruduce the mist( which is the only thing a humidifier stands for).

I mean when it comes to night time, I can't keep waking up and turn the machine off and on again and again to make it work. So I'm thinking to replace with a new one or send it back to dyson. But don't get me wrong over all it's still a good product to buy if it works properly I purchased one of the first Dyson Humidifiers on sale in the US, (experimental stage I was told) and it did not start up automatically on the water treatment phase. Dyson paid to have the unit shipped back to them (shipping paid in full by Dyson), but UPS actually lost my package! Dyson was quick to remedy the situation and sent me a new unit, which works great. I am really impressed with Dyson's customer service and sometimes you get what you pay for. I doubt another company would have been as helpful as Dyson has. Because of their great customer service, I've continued to purchase Dyson products as gifts for family and for personal use. As for UPS, I will avoid them at all costs in the future. Works great - highly recommended for folks with breathing issues - cleans air fast and makes sleeping easier in any room - runs though the whole water container in one day at medium speed.

This product is great all around - only down part is that it is very expensive - Dyson should make a cheaper version of this - i would have loved to give this product as a gift to at least 6 family members for the holidays. works as directed, uses one fill up every am /pm at automatic (40%) appears to shut off if water runs out, want it to run 100%of time as it is a needed air circulator. may keep . . . or not.
