It wasn’t as loud as I thought it would be; my vacuum is louder. I juiced 2 lbs of carrots and got about 20 oz, the pulp was somewhat moist, and actually kind of fluffy. Most if it got stuck to the underside of the lid and about half ended up in the pulp-deposit container. I could already tell the beta carotene from the carrots was starting to stain some of the white parts of the equipment (which they warn in the manual.) So you should clean it immediately after use. I had to use a toothbrush to clean the little blades and microscreen strainer It’s easy to clean in the sense I didn’t have to use much soap, but a lot of water; I did have to scrub all parts since persistent beta carotene staining was just starting to occur. 8 pieces total to wash/clean, which includes the motor base. The strainer/blades were the most tedious, which I needed a toothbrush to do.

The Oster Wide-Mouth Juice Extractor is amazing and Grandma approved! For those thinking about juicing for a healthier life, this is the way to go. I was concerned about how loud the unit would be and was surprised to find it has an acceptable level of noise. My daughter's high-end juicer is stored in the box, unused, since it scares my grandson. The ease of use and power of this unit is great. The juicer has easily handled carrots, apples, peaches, oranges, limes, spinach, celery, kale, cucumbers and grapefruit. The combinations I've created with these fruits and veggies are delicious! The juicer has powered through every challenge sent through the chute. I did receive the juicer as a sample to try and am happy to have this 'health helper' in my home. The quality is great and the long/wide chute keeps food prep minimal. The stainless steel strainer is sturdy and is easily cleaned with a kitchen brush. Enjoy the fun of juicing and doing something good for yourself! I like this product because it simply does the job: a powerful job of making nutritious fresh juices.

It is easy to use, with only one switch to operate and an extra wide food chute that enables quick, no-headache juice extraction -- just like a Jamba Juice experience in the comfort in your own home. It gave me particularly good results with apples and kiwis. Net-net, I recommend it to fresh juice lovers who are not big on design. Note: I received this product as a sample to review. I received this juicer to test and when I first received it I thought it looked cheap and was worried it wouldn't do what I wanted. We had a juicer years ago that cost 3x's as much and didn't work well at all. Putting the unit together was very easy. I was very happy to see that many of the parts could be easily rinsed clean after use and didn't require extensive scrubbing. Even the metal part that is designed to grind up the fruit and strain the juice is easy to clean with a scrub brush and minimal effort. Our first juice made was a mixture of what I had available in the fridge and my husband loved it! I read that using bananas whole, with the peel on, is the healthiest way to juice them as long as they are organic and this juicer can handle it. I love the collection cup as it has a place to strain off the foam and it works pretty well. The machine has a lot of power and as a result is pretty loud.

It comes with simple assembly instructions and took about 15 seconds to put together. Once assembled, all you do is turn the dial to on, put in your produce, and push down. The juicer is pretty powerful. It easily processes fruits and veggies, including tougher, fibrous products like ginger. Once finished juicing, it just takes a few seconds to take apart. All the parts can be washed individually. I normally just rinse them off and wipe down with a soapy sponge. The whole disassembly and clean-up process takes less than a minute.

Most importantly to me the juicer is very efficient. The pulp that comes out is pretty dry so there's minimal waste. My only complaint is that the pulp sometimes stays in the top and doesn't always make it all the way into the receptacle. But, considering how easy it is to take apart and clean, it's not much of a problem. Overall I am thrilled with this juicer. It makes it super easy to get in all your servings of fruits and veggies, and I'm having fun coming up with new combinations to try. I received this product as a sample to review. The Oster Juice Extractor is a great juicer for the $48.00 price. It is easy to put together, take apart, and clean. You don't have to spend a lot of time cutting up the produce. I also like how the container has a froth separator so you can serve the juice without the foam. The instructions in the operating manual for putting it together the first time we're not that great. The instructions for putting the food chute on top of the lid and locking it were confusing, so it took me several frustrating minutes trying to figure it out.

I prefer the Compact Breville Juice Fountain over this juicer, but the Breville costs twice the amount. Overall, this is a great product if you want a juicer that is fast and easy to use. Note: I received this juicer as a sample to try out. This is my second juicer, my previous model was a more expensive unit but it was just too time consuming and complicated for everyday use and ended up selling it to a friend.. Recently I have wanted to try again when I saw this one available I decided to give it a try and I’m glad I did. This model is fantastic, it’s: easy to assemble, easy to clean and makes great juice. So far I have made apple juice with some added vegetables and the result is amazing, it is fresh with no added sugars! I will be making all sorts of juices now. This juicer is a good price and a good product! Try it for yourself, you won’t be disappointed. I did receive this juicer as sample to review, but I am so impressed with this I have recommended this to my family and friends.

I received the Oster Wide Mouth Juice Extractor as a sample appliance to test out and rate how I liked it. I was very excited to receive the juicer, as I do not own one and always wanted to. When I first opened the box I noticed that there was a lot of pieces to the appliance. After reading the directions it was very clear and easy how to set up and run the unit. When I started to use the juicer I was really impressed with how much was squeezed out of everything I placed in it. So easy to use, and many items I did not have to cut up with the wide opening. I didn't expect it to be as loud as it is, however I have no other juicer reference to compare it to. It's very loud, but powerful! I also didn't expect the leftover pulp to get stuck in the lid instead of the waste container. It did not affect the way the unit worked at all. it just made cleaning it a little harder. All the pulp should get pushed/shot into a waste container, but it tended to get stuck at the top it. So I couldn't just take the container off and empty it.
