I run my unit continuously on the low setting and have to replace the filter about once a year. I have bought many of these over the years, but this came from a different company and it is really loud. It appears to be working, but never had one this loud. These have all lasted more than five years each. Running 24/7 If this one makes it that long I will be happy. Just clean the filters once a month and replace the main filter once a year and you will be surprised how much cleaner you home will be. When you see the Hepa filter after a year you will be amazed.
