And it has a lot of nice features and suprises that must have been designed with the user in mind: 2 choices of how you want to purify your air - ionizer or hepa. Muliple filter types, so you can purchase the one that best meets your needs - smoke, pets, allergies, general - and the filters are easy to install and remove.

The case cover is easy to remove and remained secure. Lite and easy to move to another room. Other nice features are a reminder when to change the filter and if you really want to see what your filter captures - a magnified window - so you can follow what's going on with your unit. Three speeds - and I was surprised as to how quiet the highest speed was - an air purifier that I can have in my bedroom and not really notice it's there. Overall does a good job and definitely a best buy. I was lucky enough to receive this air purifier to review, and I will continue using it. I was going to buy a larger Holmes tower shortly for when we fired up the forced air heater in winter. But oh boy, due to a huge fire east of us, due to odd wind currents, the smoke was settling in our little town and impossible to keep out of the indoor air. I ordered this item for the living and dining rooms and paid about 5.00 extra for faster shipping and it not only got here quicker than estimated, it was in perfect condition right out of the box and the On-Trac or On-Star (not sure of exact carrier name) delivery man was very courteous and handled the item with such care!

Within one hour the stuffy noses and headaches were gone and we were breathing healthier air with no smoke smell. I like that the filters may have a 4 month life span. Where does all that dust come from anyway? Husband and I both seem to wake up breathing easier. Three fan levels with 1 being almost unnoticeable. The unit is easy to use and has easy to understand functions; like, the filter change reminder/indicator, and 3 speeding setting for different conditions. I have this unit in my bedroom, and have noticed some noticeable differences in the quality of the air; it also helps keep the room warm since it gives off heat. I have slept and seem to be having less breathing issue since using it, after it uses a HEPA-type filter, which removes up to 99% of airborne participles.

The filter is easy to remove and install. The noise level of the unit is not an issue too, since it runs fairly quietly. I have it running all night and it doesn't affect me nor does it keep me awake. Overall this is a great unit and offers quite an impressive performance. I was a bit worried that it might run too quiet for me when set on high. My last air purifier doubled as a white noise machine at night so I could sleep. This didn't disappoint in that aspect! Set on high, I could hear the air blowing and there was a quiet hum as well. The perfect white noise for sleeping! Set on low you can't hear it at all. I also noticed when waking up this morning that my sinuses were not as congested as they have been with the heavy pollen and other allergens in the air.

I'm really excited about this purifier for long run use! I'm actually considering buying another one for the downstairs living room. I live in a town house so it should be able to handle the size of the room. I highly recommend this unit! The front display for the filter and the dial to help track when you need to buy your next set of filters is very helpful as well! I had a horrible burnt popcorn smell in my kitchen that was going through the whole house, I turned this on and in a short time the smell was gone. I have to mention the packaging of this product, someone really took care and time to make it super simple to unpackage and start using. Tape is placed so its just pull off and bags are closed carefully to open easily, seems like a simple thing but after years of hateing how long it takes to unwrap, untie, untwist etc it was a noticeable change.

Our air quality has greatly improved since then! The Purifier is used in the basement which seemed a little musty and dusty. The air even smells fresher down there! Very Satisfied with this purchase, and would recommend to anyone looking! This product is great in most areas. It is small enough to fit in any room and the biggest benefit is the fan’s power. I did not expect the fan to be so strong. The air purifier was ready to use out of the box except for some tape that held the cover together. My dad cooked some fish the first night I had it. The house filled with strong fish smell. After using the unit for an hour, much of the smell was gone. One small drawback is the sound which is not bad unless you are trying to watch television.
