When you use the carbon pre-filter it removes smells quickly, and remarkable well. The pre-filters extend the duration of time between cleanings of the main filter; I've yet to reached the point where I need to clean the main filter. The fan blows air well enough to keep refreshed air circulated throughout the room quietly. The accent lights are a nice touch too. On hot days I wished that the fan would blow more forcefully, but that's what regular fans are for anyway. This is a superior product compared to all the other air purifiers that I've tried over the years. I love this air purifier so much that I wouldn't hesitate to buy another should the need arise.
