The shipping costs not so much since that's half the price of the filters. And I just tried to join the auto renewal but I didn't need my filter yet, since I always buy in two's, but it made me purchase one just to sign up, then when I told customer service to move my next auto ship to August 2017, they  cancelled  it and said join next year.
