Ford already has a small amount of sound dampening material. It did quiet the interior as expected. Came with no instructions. The rattling is not as bad as it used to be and it made a difference inside the car. DON'T buy this if you live in arizona because the heat is too much for it. 65 of 77 found this helpful Excellent sound deadener for the money, very thick, no smell once applied, super tacky and sticks even to dirty surfaces. Applied in my doors it made a big difference inside the car, applied in the trunk the bass sounds much better inside but it didn't stop my trunk from flexing and sounding like it's about to explode.

It feels thicker than the famous competition and there is no smell to it. The sheets you get are sort of a long/narrow size, so they are great for running vertically up the doors and on the outer door skin. This was very easy to work with. It seems to be as good as any of the more well know and more expensive brands.
