It boasts of a clean air delivery rate of 127 cubic metre/hour and comes with a price tag of Rs16,995. It is the cheapest Philips Air Purifier in the market right now. Between these two variants, there are two other models AC4014 and AC4072 priced at Rs 28,995 and Rs 39,995 respectively. While both serve an area of 592 sq feet, they differ in some features here and there. The units are nicely designed, and look pretty sitting in the corner of your room. Yes, they take up a little space, like those halogen heaters these days. The build quality is solid too, something you can expect from Philips. While it's not easy to judge pollution-free air, but if I trust the LED indicator on the purifier, the air quality in my home has improved drastically.

I could observe less odors as well, including the typical smell from my kitchen which is next to the lobby where the purifier was placed. Should you buy it? Well that's a tough one. The company introduced four indoor air purifier models priced between Rs 40,000 and Rs 95,000.

“The air quality in India, particularly in urban cities, is hazardous and there is a high risk of air pollution-related diseases. Blueair indoor air purifiers has the ability to clean the air in a room every 12 minutes,” said Vijay Kannan, Business Head, Blueair India. The entry-level 270E model, priced at Rs 40,000 is made for small rooms of 240 square-feet while the 650E version, which costs Rs 95,000, is ideal for very large rooms measuring up to 698 square-feet. The other two models cater to medium to large size rooms. “Air purifiers should be used always to get the best air quality,” said Kannan. The air purifiers come with a Hepa filter which needs to be changed every six months when used 24 x 7. “Blueair purifiers use our patented HepaSilent filtration technology. It consumes very little power and is whisper quiet,” added Kannan. The filters are priced between Rs 4,500 and Rs 17,000, depending on the model.
