kuryakyn hypercharger air cleaner kit

In reply to this post by old semperfi Hey- hope this helps:It's still stock except for the carbs and air intake. 2. I don't have the model number, I checked Kuryakyn's website and no dice. The website I ordered mine from is actually a goner so I did a little research and the best I could get was this website: /ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=KA-609421Note that you will need the filter and shroud AS WELL AS the mounting bracket specific to your model. 3. Yes, use the t-connector to connect the vacuum tubes from the carb to the intake shroud: the "hypercharger" butterfly valves operate off of the vacuum from the carbs. If you leave the butterfly valves alone as per the installation instructions they will work perfectly. But anyway yes: when you open the throttle the butterflies open perfectly in synch. 4. You may need to rejet depending on your current air/fuel mixture and chamber compression. You may be able to get away with just adjusting the air/fuel mixture screws on the carbs but if after the hypercharger is installed it doesn't run smoothly through all throttle ranges (1/4, 1/3, 1/2, 3/4, full open) then you will have to rejet to get equal and consistent fuel and air mixes in the chamber.
But since you already have a K&N filter installed I doubt you'll have to pull the carbs. Also, since you already have a K&N filter a $300 hypercharger is unlikely to give you any more performance benefits (you won't be opening any more air into the mixture) but you definitely will have the coolest intake manifold. PS: I've heard of guys lacing the filter with LEDs so as they open the throttle the manifold glows. I'm thinking of doing it but it's illegal in most states I know of. Still a pretty cool show trick though.
