Here are some interesting mower trends and statistics from the 2014 survey: Lawn Mower Review Takeaways Durability and easy start engine remain the top purchase factors when considering a walk behind mower. More than 60% of new walk mower buyers cited durability as a top factor while 57% cited easy of starting. Briggs & Stratton’s new InStart technology answers this need with a lithium-ion electric start engine on a gas powered mower. The number of gas walk mower buyers who were new to the category ticked slightly upward this year.

More than a third of those new to the gas walk category converted from an electric or manual mower. And speaking of electric mowers, 36% of gas walk buyers considered an electric mower but ended up opting for the power of a gas mower. Consumers want a quiet mower.Noise level moved ahead of ease of starting as the #1 desired improvement in walk-behind mowers. 21% of buyers said thhat they wished their new mower was quieter. I’m guessing they didn’t buy a mower with our new Quiet Power Technology which is 65% quieter than a traditional gas powered mower. Briggs & Stratton remains the #1 top-of-mid engine brand. I have a 120 marine engine in my boat. The manual calls for 30w oil. Should I use the straight 30w or go to a 15w 40? 10w30 oil will work fine for your application. My 120 Lehman has a Motorola Md.8MR2018K with tach. will this alternator replace it? It looks like it has more terminals. This 12V Alternator will work with your engine. Is there a product / filament that goes inside the mesh air filter? There are no filter elements. The mesh screen is mainly for large particles and performs as a flame arrestor. Trying to find a starter switch (push button type) for Ford Lehman Marine engine (275 hp Sabre). How many terminals are on the back of the switch?
