It works, but if your blu ray player is really acting up you'll need to send it in and have lens clean. This disk stops it from reaching that point, if you're there already it can't reverse problem It did for me. It cleaned the blu ray and improved the performance of my player. It was stopping and skipping in blu rays that I had played before. I handle my discs with care transferring between case and tray never laying it anywhere other than the what was designed to hold it.
