I've had the first one for for 8 yrs or so and it's still doing its job beautifully. It does a pretty good job at making the air smell "fresh", but it doesn't seem to do a whole lot of anything when it comes to removing allergens. The remote is broken and the fan its so intense not silence recommend to everyone, great price as well! I waited for few months before writing this feedback. While it is supposed to purify the air, it leaves a bad smell (like an industrial one) there, defying the purpose of... Not sure how much it actually purifies the air. I little noisy, you can definitely hear it operating. I almost never hear the shock noise that other complain of.

Very disappointed , wheels broke quickly motor stopped working , Quality has fallen This item did not function properly out of the box; that is, when I plugged it in, nothing happened. plastic where hose hooks up broke. So now can't lock so can't use. Orbeck said can't get piece becaause made in china. My maid said it worked great for my bachelor pad. Probably need something more robust for a big house but maybe not. Lots of suction sa great product and works perfectly I'm using it as a second vacuum for use on a stair case and for spot clean-ups.
