They came out cleaned my A/C upsold the filter and didn't fix the A/C (which was the reason for my call) I suspect its the capacitor/fan Motor and told them as such. Now I have to wait until after the weekend for them to come by a second time. We requested a repair but ended up getting nothing more than a check up, I've used these guys in the past but after todays experience I probably won't be recommending them to anyone else nor using them again. The price and the amount of time and work spent i feel it was not worth it considering the problem continues after their visit. They called back on Monday and told me the condenser fan motor was $800, this is a part that costs under $300 tax in. Not sure if it's the Tech or the company but someone thinks it's a good idea to bilk their customers. I hired another company to do the work and it should be completed today at a fraction of the cost About Pure Air wanted.Thank you for your review. Over 1 year ago I would like to share my experience with About Pure Air Inc. company and the quality and timely service that they provided us few weeks ago. Our Furnace stopped working at the middle of a Saturday night when the temperature was close to -20 degrees. Sunday morning I called Peter in About Pure Air company and he committed to send one of his colleagues to our place within couple of hours. Beside their quick response and great job that they did to get our furnace fixed in couple of hours, they also did a complete inspection and made recommendations to us to avoid this type of issues in future. I was extremely impressed at how expeditiously About Pure Air completed the installation of a new furnace, the client was extremely happy at the time, and continues to be pleased with the ongoing service. About 2 years ago Repair of air conditioner I bought a air conditioner from Peter in 2008. The air conditioner currently does not work. Peter checked this out and found a part needed to be replaced. This was late August. Now Sept. 11 after repeated calls I have been told Peter is busy and will get to it later. My complaint is why not tell me?Peter said was unable to respond to any emails til Oct. 1st. Another contractor RED TAGGED!!! (My A/C... advised Peter)... to date no visit.
Called Enbridge gas confirmed the REG TAG and suggested poor installation. Have submitted pictures of RED TAG to Homestars. This problem dates back to AUGUST. This review has 1 image. We can understand your frustration and can assure you that we did everything we could to assist you. Update: We take pride in every of our installations. All of them are according to code and bylaws. Regulations may change over the years. We offered you to make modifications to your system but you decided to go ahead with a competitor.

I requested for yearly maintenance service to be performed on my furnace before winter arrives. On that day, I was surprised that 2 technicians showed up as usually it is performed by one. However, I was told that one of them is a trainee. They completed the work in less than 45 minutes. As we have been a long time customer, we do not wish our house to be used as a training centre since we were not being told upfront about it. To ensure that our new additions live up to our high standards we require that they shadow more experienced technicians for several months. This ensures that we will be able to provide you with our service at the same level of high standard you are used to. This is very different from many other companies which send newly hired licensed technicians by themselves and see what happens.

We have been one of their customers for three years now, and they are always on time, showing up exactly when they say they will. They are polite, courteous (always take their boots/shoes off right away) and get right to the problem at hand, without wasting any time.
