My daughter has asthma and allergies and she'd even let you know it works wonders plus she lets me know when it is time to clean it. Bonus there, easy cleaning and no replacing the filter. Just vacuum the unit, dip the back cover and the plates in an ammonia and water solution once a month. It is easy to care for and only needs monthly maintenence. Being a smoker, it removes the stale smoke smell. I'm not particularly fond of the odor it provides in place of it but it is much better than the smelly smoke odor! It is the second one I have purchased.

The last one served me well for about 7 years.by The Ecoquest flair is an excellent product: too bad it was discontinued.The air purifier worked fine however the amber light bulb wouldn't wouldn't come on.
