But I needed a small Ford 6 cylinder to finalize the tune for the EFI conversion. Already did the 300 6 and the V8s. This is a 66 with 200. The original was replaced with a 79 200. Got it fired up, driving and stopping, so not bad for a cheap 66 stang. That's what an EFI system is supposed to do. Make your vehicle run just like a modern truck/car. Perfectly tuned all the time. The only real casualties of the trip were a front crank seal, valve cover gasket and a front axle ujoint. Oh and someone decided to previously drill right through the rear floor of the scout to mount something. Guess what we smelled for 3 days till we tracked it down! Yes, MPFI i...s available for the IH line of SV engines. No it's not as cheap as the TBI system so if you have to ask...you probably don't want it. No, it is also not going to give you an added 100hp or 25mpg. EFI is EFI and other than emissions there really isn't much difference over the TBI for performance. When you pop the hood and show off your IH with MPFI it's all about the smiles. Any body can drive a Chevy! Barbie drives a Jeep. Real men drive an IH! Yes, MPFI is available for the IH line of SV engines. HFI 2-2 Rochester 2G (2GC) to TBI New adapter just developed and in stock. This allows those GM guys(or others) that have the large bore Rochester 2G carb to bolt the GM throttle body directly to the manifold. Bolt pattern for the 2G is 2" x 3 11/16".
