salt vaporizer and air purifier

Today, at the beginning of 21st century we can hardly, if only, imagine living without many electric devices. They make it easier for us to work in the office and at home. However we often do not realize that they are also a source of very harmful positive ions, the so-called electric smog, resulting in the concentration of positive ions; deteriorates the condition of air in the rooms, what then negatively affects our physical and emotional state. The Salty Lamps and Tea Light Candle holders are made from Natural Himalayan Crystal Salt Rock formed millions of years ago in the foothills of Himalaya. The most important sources of harmful positive ions are: Scientific research has proven that the amount of ions in the environment, acceptable by the human, is ca. 1000 - 1500/cm3, In closed rooms where a few people work at the same time, the amount of negative ions may fall to as low as 200/cm3. The positive effect of negative ions can be experienced on a visit to the Salt Mine, by the sea or walking right after a storm.

Now you know how important it is to make sure that the harmful effect of electric smog is reduced to a minimum in the rooms where we work. The cheapest and the simplest method of fighting against electric smog is to air rooms regularly, particularly those in which a few people stay together for sometime, in which there are electric machines, computers, or where cigarettes are smoked. You can also use air ionizers, but these are quite expensive. To help you remove electric smog, we offer Salty Lamps & Tea Light Candle Holders. Made of natural salt crystal, it is a natural air ionizer that effectively boosts the number of negative ions in the room. The effect of air ionization by salt originated from physical and chemical properties discovered many years ago. In Salty Lamps heating the salt crystal with a bulb installed inside the lamp additionally enhances the ionization effect. In addition, crystal salt helps to cure many diseases. Bio-energotherapists and homeopaths in Western Europe have recommended crystal salt lamps for a long time to support treatment of allergies, respiratory system and blood system diseases.

They are often used in the treatment of rheumatism. Due to its beautiful and rich colors, salt lamps are also used in color therapy, i.e. chromo therapy. Their soothing light helps neurotic persons and people suffering from insomnia. Feng Shui art connoisseurs have also appreciated the lamps. The curing properties of salt were proven by the fact that salt miners much more rarely suffer from respiratory system diseases.

Our well-being and efficiency are dependant on the air we breathe. Air consists of many electrically charged particles – positively, negatively charged or neutral particles. The quality of air we breath depends on the kind of electrical charge and concentration of ions. You know that pesky white buildup clogging your coffeemaker and ruining your morning brew? It’s caused by mineral deposits left behind by hard water and it’s really easy to remove. There are a few commercial mineral removers out there, but the easiest, least expensive and cleanest way to get rid of the pesky white buildup is simply with white vinegar. White vinegar is also highly effective at removing mineral deposits from your tea kettle, shower head, faucets, clothes iron and humidifier. And unlike synthetic cleaners, it’s completely non-toxic. How to remove mineral deposits From an electric coffeemaker Brew a full pot of half vinegar and half water, using a clean coffee filter. Turn off the coffee maker about half way through the brewing cycle and let the solution sit for about an hour.

Turn the coffeemaker back on to brew the rest of the vinegar solution. Replace the coffee filter and then rinse by running two cycles of clean water through the brewing cycle. From the teakettle (electric or stove top) Boil one cup of vinegar for a few minutes. Add a quarter cup of baking soda for extra cleaning power, if needed. From shower heads and sink faucets Add equal parts water and vinegar to a plastic bag. Attach the bag to the faucet, so that the faucet is submerged in the bag. Secure the bag to the top of the faucet with a rubber band. Let it sit for about an hour. Remove the bag and run the water for a minute to rinse. Remove stubborn mineral residue on the outside of the faucet with an old toothbrush, if needed. From a clothes iron Fill the iron with half water and half vinegar, and turn it on. Once the iron heats up, run the steam until it is empty. Once it has cooled back down, refill it with clean water and steam it again to rinse.

Soak the humidifier filter in a pan of undiluted white vinegar for about an hour or until it is free of sediment. To kill bacteria and prevent future mineral buildup, add a quarter cup of white vinegar to the water tank once a week. The white buildup is from calcium, magnesium, lime and/or other mineral deposits commonly found in hard water.Dehumidifiers & air treatment Vicks 3.8 Litre Warm Mist Humidifier. We've been using it for a few days, yet we're still waking up with dry sinuses. We also have a steam humidifier, would that be better?

The humidifier is something to lessen some of my wife's pregnancy-related discomforts (previously asked). We got this cute guy because 1) it's cool mist and therefore not a danger with present cats/future baby, and 2) it's cute. We received it a few days ago and have been using it since we first got it. It's easy to set up, and it appears to be emitting a cool mist (we can see it). But when my wife wakes up, she doesn't feel any less dry in the head, and I woke up a bit parched today, too. * We run the humidifier from around 9 or 10 PM to 6 AM at medium output because there is no auto-off, and the manual warns that the unit could be damaged by working without water. * The humidifier is aimed towards us, maybe 3' away from my wife, and further from me. * Our bedroom is decently large (maybe 12' x 12'), and pretty tall (maybe 10' high?), and we keep the hallway and bathroom doors open because our cats scratch at the carpet by closed doors, potentially ruining the carpet.
