We have a broken hot water heater and need a new pilot light assembly for it. We have a Kenmore hot water heater and they are owned by Sears, so the only place we can buy this part is from Sears. I went online to their website to order the part on a Sunday evening. They gave me 3 options for shipping: regular, 2-day and expedited. The expedited shipping said it was $45, but we'd have our part in less than 2... I will never call sears for repairs it took me a month for some someone to come to my house and to my surprise they had to order the part!!! I had to wait another week for a technician to come to my house to fix it ...im done with this company. I have a sears extended warranties for a GE Monogram side by side stainless steel refrigerator model# ZFSB23DSS which I paid over $5000 for it.

Please do read other reviews that are not on their sites. Site will only post good reviews. They won't let bad reviews be posted. You will see a cheap quote on their site and after the fact be charged $340 when you saw $149. Tech will try and get you to pay them cash and not report to company. Managers are rude and will not help even if your dissatisfied. If you want bad service and to get ripped off call Sears. Your better off using service... When I contacted them the new day the BEST they could do was reschedule 16 days later. I already waited 7 days for the first appointment. That would mean almost a one month wait period for a dishwasher repair! How can they operate a business like this? On certain opener models from Craftsman, you also have the option of remote control of the door from your smartphone. tech was great....explained everything, very knowledgeable The technician was very respectful and knowledgeable. We have been trying to get our dryer repaired for weeks now. A technician came to look at it. He declared that he would order two parts and get back to us. My wife paid him with a credit card. He did not give us a receipt. Now three weeks later, no dryer parts have arrived, no technician has returned. Furthermore, AHS sent us bill for $75 saying that we did not pay the technician. They won't accept any more service requests until we pay it. two days ago I made what is at a minimum 6 calls on my air conditioning units. This is after 5 years of living in my home. This summer I have made 3 calls. The last two technicians have recommended a replacement of at least one of the units. AHS has NEVER contacted me on any of these recommendations. Today the tech refused to fix the ac unit claiming it needed to be replaced.
I am still waiting to hear from AHS on their recommendation. 8yrs as a customer; placed work request for my HVAC; supplier advised on 08/24 had to order part but could upgrade for 4-6k, financially I had to go with the repair (my responsibility 1500). estimated time for part and completion 09/09; when I didn't hear back I contacted AHS who advised will follow and I will be contacted, as of 09/23 still no response, another call to AHS, Rep still not able to reach supplier, not able to reassign, could only... Submitted a claim to AHS on a Thursday. The contractor they sent out could not come til Tuesday. He then suggests a cash out and do it ourselves,because he says his cost will cost us so much more out of pocket. The contractor stated, "you could actually pocket some money this way." We waited 3 days for AHS to call us and tell us that then we could hire our own contract and pay for it with our own money, and then they would reimburse us for what... We have had so many issues with this company, you can't reach anyone without experiencing very long hold times, the service people they send are rude, and usually can't fix the problem.
We were without a washer for over 6 weeks due to this company's negligence, and incurred large bills from the dry cleaner in the meantime. Lastly, I approved 12 month billing and they charged my debit card the full annual amount without my authorization, now I am... I have been working to get my stove top fixed for 3-months. I have a microwave that the door is nor working properly and has a crack on the door frame so I call for service and see it will cover the door they send a tech he look at it and say nooo they wont cover it for excessive use and ask for 75$ I think the costumer service should have say save you're money and go buy another one we don't warranty the door do to excessive use or force . so now I have to buy another microwave and pay for... I used AHS' automated system two days ago to request service on my washing machine. They sent an email saying they had assigned it to a provider and I should be expecting a call. After two days and no phone call from the vendor, I called the vendor. They said they never received the request from AHS. I just spent another 1 hour and 33 minutes on hold trying to resolve the issue. Now AHS says they are contacting another vendor and I should hear... The worst excuse fir a business.
