I am a light sleeper and even with the door closed and the egg in the living room, I cannot be at ease.This product is designed more for looks than functionality. The egg shape, while cute, is inefficient because the air intake vents are at the bottom. Air must flow in sideways from below, instead of from all around, like Hamilton Beach 04383 True Air Allergen-Reducing Air Cleaner, which I also own and is of comparable size.

I went through many different once. My kids has allergies. This one is great for medium room. I usually spend 160, this one works best of all that I had.
