This unit seemed nicely designed in terms of visuals. The sound was calming with no other noises except the wind blowing.... Well I found out after using it for 3 days it started giving a rattling sound where it woke me up to the point where I had to turn it down. The rattling noise occurs only on high setting and can be seen in the video attached.My bedroom Honeywell air purifier 13520 lasted for about 10 years running 24/7 with exception of few days of being unplugged when I moved. It had survived my high school, college, grad school, and working years on top of banging around and hauling from floor to floor or state to state. We have 6 other Honeywell air purifiers in my family ranging from 1 to 14 years old with none being defective or making any noise except the normal sound of air blowing while running 24/7 365 days a year.

I hope Vornado can live up to its name with its products and service.**1st update**After a few weeks the rattling is so loud this can be heard from the floor below.**2nd update**I increased 1 star rating to 4 star due to excellent fast response by email and prompt replacement. Defective product may just be an outlier. I will keep this updated of any issues that my reoccur which may emphasize a flawed design.**3rd update**Replacement unit started failing after 2 weeks of usage. Loud rattling on highest setting and hum on the lower setting. I also noticed the date on this unit is older than my first unit so I assume they're sending out replacement units of the same version. Back to 1 star :( I've never had this bad of a quality of a product in my life. This is worse than any off brand air purifiers I've tried.
