Where I live the elements are very bad. The smoke comes in my place. (You understand elements ) this the best machine. Best air purifier I have had and I have had several. Bought it specifically because it removes mold spores. I saw this three years and I wanted and I was not able to afford it at the time this is a great product because I have read the reviews of it and yes it does work it does clean the air . I recommend using this on the high-speed while cooking . My husband smokes but the rest of us don't, but he has his own room he smokes in. This unit keeps that room clear and no longer smells of smoke. He said his throat isn't as dry either, probably less 2nd hand smoke he's re-breathing in. Can't deny the health benefits this will have for all of us. I researched and this product was one of the best and for the price you couldn't beat it. Smoke smells you have to have the charcoal filter and I can tell that makes the difference. We keep it on medium and it's not louder than a ceiling fan or a floor fan and it's not an annoying sound either.
