This is a good basic air cleaner for a small space but it does nothing for oders. I live in a multi-family building and get sometimes from outside my condo,e.g., clothes dryer strip oders. This air cleaner does not remove them. had one for about 4 years now - its quiet and very powerful. I have noticed a great difference in air quality. This is the best air purifier I have seen. It is extremely quiet! I have a Honeywell programmable purifier that claims to be quiet, but it is nothing compared to this one. I checked the filter after the first week I ran the system...and WOW!! I couldn't believe all the things it picks up!! I was able to carefully vacuum clean the pre-filter. It's not completely quite though, keep it on the lowest fan level for a quiter ran. But it works WONDERFULLY!! Air in the bedroom is definitely better, smells fresher and cleaner. My allergies have abated. My eyes are able to open in the morning. This appliance is everything I wanted and more!
