Nice and quiet and it is light enough i can carry up stairs to use at night and i have 3 herniated disks. I have two german sheperds who shed and spread dander all over. This cleans my air and leaves absolutely no smell in my home. In fact my hubs put bengay on and it usually smells the hse up for days but using this the smell was gone in 20 minutes. I have approx 850sq ft on both levels of my home and this takes care of it by using downstairs during day and upstairs at night even on highest setting its quiet. I was amazed at how much it collected on the prefilter in a few days. I used a tip i read on another comment and ran the sweeper hose over it to clean it. It is also nice that you can put this flat against a wall, altho i set mine in between rooms so it cleans multiple rooms as it runs. I would highly suggest this purchase the warranty is amazing, the product is amazing and my hse air is clean.

We set it up, turned it on the turbo setting and wondered if it was working as it was so quiet. I am a heavy smoker and smoke in the room where the unit is placed, but in just a few hours leaving it in the room without smoking, it made the smell almost go a way. Also while smoking in the room, you can tell the air is significantly cleaner and smells better too. I have noticed the particles in the air are almost gone, and I also keep my air conditioner on so this is not an issue. The green lights are not bright at all, not for me and I am someone who takes issue with lights. It is not loud. I turned off my air conditioner to make sure and it is just as advertised... Whisper [Whispure] Again, I take issue with, light and noise as I am a migraine sufferer and I would have sent this back if it were too loud or too bright. My basement is half finished and I was worried about the mold spores that may be in the air. And it also had that typical basement smell. After getting this purifier I did notice that smell almost disappeared and there was a huge reduction in dust. However I still have move it around from room to room , which is ok for me. It isn't heavy at all. It is big, but not to big for us or the space we have now. I can always find a wall to put it on. It is built to be out up against the wall which helps because I don't think people notice it too much. I don't think that it is loud even when running on high nor do i think that the lights are too bright on the front of this machine. I think it looks very nice! I also love the indicator lights that tell you when the filters need to be changed. There is no need to remember any dates!

The AP51030K immediately solved this as its powerful 'large room' capabilities and double filter quickly clean the air of smoke. This appliance was highly recommended by Consumer Reports magazine and I can see why. I appreciate the 'double filter' feature...better than my last air purifier (recently discarded) which only had one (HEPA) filter. The charcoal filters are reasonably priced and the HEPA filter is less expensive (lasts one year) is less expensive than my last air purifier by about $30. The noise is not objectionable and I can turn it down to 'low' when I sleep at night. I only wish that it had a 'timer' like my last purifier...4, 8 hrs or 'off' to automatically set it. I'm thinking about getting another one for another room. Great product so far!

We have four dogs and two cats, and because the winter has been colder than usual, they've been inside more. We have ceramic tile floors throughout the house, so the hair and dust gets airborne rather than trapped like it does in carpet. I was vacuuming at least once a day, many times twice a day, and still could see dust and hair clouds floating up in the sunshine. Our main floor is very open, so I run the purifier at one end of it during the day and the other end at night.

I no longer see the clouds of dust and hair floating up in sunshine and I don't have to dust furniture as often as I used to. Our house is 2100 square feet, so this purifier can't do it all, but it has done a great job on the main floor. I run it at the highest speed and the noise is about the same as a box fan. When I first turned it on I was concerned about the noise on the Turbo speed, but it is no louder than a room air conditioner and it took only a couple of days for me to get used to it. On Low speed it is barely audible. I live in a rural area with dirt roads; I live with 3 cats and a smoker so I run it on Turbo speed during the day and use the Sleep Mode at night. I have not noticed an increase in KWH (I do my own meter readings). I have noticed a big difference in the air quality with less dust and less tobacco odor.

The first one I bought at Costco did cost a little more but they bundled in two filters in the deal, so it is a trade off. Get the filters now or later. My machines are running night and day and it's been a few weeks and the filter indicators are still in the first position. I'm running one on Turbo speed and the other on low speed. I really like the sleep mode option.
