Better than I expected! This humidifier exceeded my expectations. It was easy to set up and go. The functions are easy to understand and the blue ring of light fascinated my 1 year old son. Also, unfortunately, something went wrong with the digital workings and it kept going off and on all night long and you could hear the switching on and off and the water filling up each time.

This unit does comewith its own cleaning brush located inside the base of the unit, and a wide variety of cleaners (or white vinegar) or descalers will help keep this unit functioning properly. What I do not like about the PureGuardian H1600 HumidifierBe very careful when filling this model up. The handle seems to allow you to pick up the whole unit and move it by the handle,but that is not the case. The water tank will separate and you can drop the bottom of the unit.These models both lack any sort of hygrometer or humidistat. You would need to purchase one of these separately to get a definitive reading on the humidity levels in your home.In summary, the PureGuardian H1600 is a solid, mid-sized humidifier that works well in rooms up to 200 square feet.
