Also note, my recording equipment (my Razr Maxx) is quite sensitive to be able to pick up my breathing and the button presses...This is just a video to record the different volumes coming from this unit at High, Medium, and Low.I personally don't think that High is loud though I can understand that to some people it is loud. But come on, it's a blowing air from the top at high speeds!It's like a fan, and it definitely cools the room so put on your sweater!Also in the video is how Medium sounds... be sure to note the decrease in volume from High to Medium... big difference, yes?Still, to me at least, not loud, bearable... do you know what is more annoying? Babies crying... or should I say... cry babies... *wink* just joking... again I understand that some are sensitive to noise... but gardeners and some sprinklers cause more ruckus than this trusty little unit!

It purifies your air!Last but definitely something to note is the volume on Low. Be sure to notice the change from High, and from Medium... Low isn't loud at all!My PC is louder than that! This is my 3rd Honeywell air purifier over many years. I keep returning to this brand because they last. Plus, with this one and another smaller model I have, I really like the permanent HEPA filters so I can just vacuum the filters rather than buy often expensive filters. This model is nice and does a good job, but its honestly only usable at the low or middle setting unless you dont mind the blasting noise of the high setting. According to the decibel meter app on my iPhone, it produces about 50 dBs on low, 60 on medium and about 70 on high from about 2 feet away. Overall its a good unit and I expect it to last years like other Honeywell products. Within 2 days the unit got noisier then it was when it first was started up. great product for the price Quiet, Effective - 08/15/2012 Product is easy top set up, it is quiet, and it is effective for the room size specified. Although it did not solve my problem entirely, Ive noticed a substantial decrease in the number of sneezing attacks. You allergy sufferers know what Im talking about...itchy ears, watery eyes, with the sneezing, and an all around general malaise.
