A little hard to open sometimes, but once you figure it out it isn't bad. This puts out an even and light mist. I regularly recommend it to my oily friends! I like this air purifier. But I do seem to have an issue trying to get the top off. It seems that I have to work at it to get it to screw off to the point where I can take it... The essential oils melted it.
