1 Does the stock 103 insert have to be taken off first before the Screaming Eagle insert is stuck on? That, and every time you need to service the filter, the new insert needs to be peeled off and re-applied with new 3M tape? OK, I'll answer my own question. I had the stage 1 kit put on and it included the insert, which was left in a plastic bag in my saddle bag with no instructions. After researching, you have to pry off the OEM insert and stick the new one on. At first look, it appears to be double stick tape. It is actually heavy duty velcro, (like the stuff you use for you toll road pass) so it can be removed for service. Don't plan on saving the 103 insert unless you are really careful.
