Charlotte, North Carolina has experienced days of protests and unrest since the shooting of African-American resident Keith Lamont Scott by Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officers on Sept. 20. The police have reported 43-year-old Scott had a gun as he exited and entered his car near an apartment complex and that he posed a dangerous threat.
